Summary0009201: Link in registration email not complete when using entourage
Description

When using entourage email client(the outlook equivalent on mac), there are parts of the link in the registration email missing.
E.g.:
in outlook: <<url>>/verify.php?id=33&confirm_hash=8f57c41393a695648ac277ffd0b52b3d
in entourage: <<url>>/verify.php?id=31_hash=abc27919c3176a7f4eb7d02162c78897

As you may notice, '&confirm' is missing.

As a result, when trying to use the link, an application error #200 rises: 'A required parameter to this page (confirm_hash) was not found'.

Steps To Reproduce
  • Create a new user account
  • Open the registration email
  • Look at the registration link
Additional Information

Off-hand, it sounds like an Entourage bug. Can you please find out what version of Entourage it is?

Can you also use whatever Entourage's equivalent of the "View Source" command is, and see whether the link is correct in the source of the message?

This is the answer I got from my collegue who uses entourage:

"It is an Entourage problem. The source code shows the correct link (except for including some extra stuff at the end) but the body of the e-mail shows the incorrect link.
Seth was also able to check the link prior to downloading through Entourage and it was correct in the body of the e-mail then."

Bug can be closed
