Summary0003741: GIF images are corrupted in 0.18.2
Description

When I downloaded 18.2, we found many web browsers
would not display correctly any of the gif images.
The ImageMagic program would not display them claiming
the lengths were 0 or negative.

Some browsers like Mozilla 1.4+ seem to work,
probably because they may ignore the header.
Others like Mac versions of IE and Mozilla will
explode the cell up to HUGE cells.

When I downloaded the .18.1 images and replaced
them over the top of the .18.2 images, everything
was ok.

Never mind. I think I figured out the problem.
I improperly converted CRLFs to LF for UNIX and must
have hammered these files.

Sorry, false alarm (I think).

As a side, would it be better if the distro images were png's instead of gif's?
