Summary | 0012142: Removing the Assigned to field from the Report Issue page
Description | I have the following developers in mantis: Mailing list is actually a fake user, it refers to a mailing list which forwards the mails to the rest of the developers. I dont want my reporters to assign an issue directly to Mike, so I'd like to remove the "Assign To" field from the Report Issue page and always use the "mailing list" user. Is that possible? Another question: what if there is no "assign to" field? Will the issue be assigned to the default user?

In the Mailing List user account, turn the option "email on new" on. This takes care of the email notification without having to assign the issue to that fake account. Then you can remove "handler" from the config option $g_bug_report_page_fields so it just won't be shown to reporters. When devs visit the issue they can then assign it. |

Thanks for answering! I have modified the page so now it works fine. There is another question though: Is there a way to add the "monitor issue" option to the reporter page? By this the reporter can select the useres may have to be notified! |
