Summary	0004295: Mantis to help keep track of work done, in $$$
Description	Expand sponsorship system so that it could be used to keep track of how much money developers have already earned (letting them tag issues with prices). The important part is to hide this information from the customer - the reporters. Otherwise we would be using sponsorship system for this purpose a long time ago. Or, since it's almost exactly opposite of sponsorship logics, create a whole new concept, apart from sponsorship system. I would call it "Accounting" :-)
Additional Information	This is not a sudden fancy idea but a need from the real world. This probably won't be implemented any time soon so were just gonna hack up a php page which scans mantis database and uses sponsorship fields to store prices and lets developers to add/modify them. But it would be awesome if mantis would provide such a feature out of the box.

jlatour 2004-08-09 05:29 reporter ~0006855	Yes, I've heard requests for accounting systems before, so we should probably look into it. This will require some thought though, to make sure that the system is flexible enough to support everyone's purposes (and of course, it should be optional). Definately for 0.19.0, maybe for 0.20.0, but will depend on whether someone picks this up.
