How to import a previous mantis over an existing one?

I have a backup (mysqldump) from a previous mantins server that was shutdown. I want to append that data to a existing mantis. The problem of course, is that I cannot simply restore the database. Also, the incidences, ids and the so conflict with existing ones. I restored the old mantis in a temporal mysql database but from that on I don´t see how to continue. Please help
