Can't view values of custom field.

I have a new custom field custom_Rank that I want to view and sort by in the View Issues list. I'd also like to export the field to CSV and Excel. I've used the My Account/Manage Columns to add the "custom_Rank" field to the View Issues Columns, CSV Columns, and Excel Columns. But all I get is @Rank@ showing up in the view or as headers/data in the CSV and Excel file. I've read through the Administrator's manual and searched the Mantis forums to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.
