Bug view page search within customized fields

Post by schoppi »

Hello,

I'm using Mantis 1.1.8. Within the bug view page there is a text field where you can key in a search word. In the documentation of Mantis I found this explanation of the function:

The Search field will look for simple keyword matches in the summary, description, steps to reproduce, additional information, bug id, or bug text id fields. It does not search through bugnotes.

Does this also mean that this function won't search within customized fields?

Thanks.

No, I can't confirm this. I have defined a numeric customized field and it wasn't found.

I only made a short test with string and enumeration where it works in my 1.1.6 installation.
Please search in MantisBT own bugtracker whether this is already a known problem, if not enter a new issue for it.

Ok, but I tried to login to mantisbt/bug with my loginname Schoppi and password but it failed. Do I have to create an exta account for the bugtracker?

yes, you have to create another account
the two systems have no common user management and until now nobody had the time to setup some kind of single sign on
