Hi,

I want to install MANTIS in a Windows Server. I've installed Apache, PHP, and MySQL. I've copied downloaded files for MANTIS in Apache web server root. Then when I access to server, I get an initial page for system configuration (data base user and creator, passwords, etc.). Then I fill in those fields and when I submit the form ("Install / Upgrade Database" button), I get the next message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_magic_quotes_gpc() in C:\AppServ\www\core\gpc_api.php on line 374

Sure I'm doing something wrong. Please, could some of you help me?

Please, could some of you help me with this topic? I need to use a bug sistem, for me Mantis is perfect (I am an user in a current system), but now I need to install it in a new system.

As I said, i just copied Mantis files in Apache root folder, without any installation process (I didn't find any installation file). Could you please tell me what are the right way to install Mantis?

which version of PHP do you use?
Should not be 5.3

I downloaded and installed Appserv 2.6.0, wich includes:

# Apache 2.2.8
# PHP 6.0.0-dev
# MySQL 6.0.4-alpha
# phpMyAdmin-2.10.3

If you want tu use Appserv use Appserv 2.5.10 which includes PHP 5.2.6
Appserv 2.6 with his Alpha-Versions is certainly no good starting point

Hi,

I installed Appserv 2.5.10. Now i get an error when I push over link "phpMy Admin database Manager version 2.10.3". The error is "Cannot load mysql extension". It's becoming hard for me, as I've never used PHP. Is it really necessary for using Mantis? I though it would be easier.

Sorry to hear that, but I am pretty sure, that this is no problem of MantisBT.
Is there any reason to use Appserv?
Maybe you should try XAMPP if you don't want to setup a LINUX system from scratch.
