How to create a tag or is there a mgmt. page for tags?

I'm new to MantisBT and trying to use MantisBT 1.1.8 to setup a bug management system. But I found no entrance to define or update a tag.
I searched this forum by using 'tags', and just saw the user could access the information page of a tag by clicking an attached tag in a bug-viewing page. But, as you can see, I can not access it before I'm able to attach a tag to a bug.
Thank you in advance if anyone can share related knowlddge!

AFAIK there is no way to do this in GUI of 1.1.x
You would have to do this by inserting values in mantis_tag_table.

In version 1.2 you will find a page for administration of tags.

Is it possible to create a tag, which is not valid/visible in all projects, but for one ore more specific ones, only? In MantisBT 1.1.8 or 1.2.0? Thanks!

this is not possible with a standard installation of 1.1.x or 1.2.x
first you would have to add a column in mantis_tag_table for the project_id and of course change some sourcecode
