can't get responsive view on my phone

I have been away from Mantis for a while. Just got a new 2.1.0 installation for a client and it looks great. I read that it is meant to be responsive. When I logged in using Firefox on my Android phone it looked nice but was not 'responding'. I had to scroll long distances across to view the fields in data entry. Could someone update me on whether it is currently meant to be better than this and, if yes, how I can trigger a better layout on my phone?
