I was not aware that even the server part of SOAP is not for free.
It's just for free for non commercial usage.

To understand how bug creation works, have a look at bug_report.php and core/bug_api.php function create.

This is a known bug which was fixed today.

Have fun with your updated version.

1. rename mantis to mantis_old
2. create an empty directory mantis
3. extract the contents of the new mantis 1.2.2 to the empty mantis directory
4. copy your old configuration (at least the file config_inc.php) from mantis_old to mantis
5. point your browser to mantis/admin/install.php

Did you rename the directory of your old version and created the new version in same directory that the old version was before?

Is this a fresh installation without any customization?
