we have discussed about upgrading 1.1.7, but not possible; we can only deal with the data from 1.1.7 , mapping over to another tool, such as jira.
Data wise, we need mantis data;
Interface wise, we are not able to continue on mantis, sadly.

Thank you for the wonderful suggestion. our 1.1.7 not even setup for email notification :-) but I can always go to see my backup of database to see any hints over there. I think the problem here was - too many administrators in mantis system - no control on change too little tracking - no audit log ...

any chance to get them back the way it was ?
I checked our 1.1.7 , no audit log , no longlongtime ago backup.

found a few of users in mantis 1.1.7 like user112, user131 , but none of them listed in user list and all scratched out, see attached.

where are those users ? is it because system generated them ?

different people setup projects differently, not consistent, either, that's why we end up confusing ourselves.

is it a must to add project for user so they can access ?

if user as 'viewer' , is it okay for 'read only' access for every issue logged in mantis ? no need to add project(s) for each user, correct ?

how ? I can run a higher version of mantis , but cannot get data from 1.1.7 running on higher version.

Then so bad, we can only go database level to arrange tag related operation
no wonder so much junk in our database , so anything you suggest me do next ?

before I remove the tag, I always want to know who is using this tag, and where used, is there a quick way to review ?
to remove this tag, I just do that from database level 'delete' ?
