description text or tooltips for custom fields
I have been trying to find out if this exists yet, for displaying instructions for a custom field. Could somebody tell me if it is possible or if there are plans? https://github.com/mantisbt/mantisbt/pull/758 c73b2628-04b8-11e6-8af9-e62dbd6364e8.png I also see discussion about tooltips in the develo...

can't get responsive view on my phone
I have been away from Mantis for a while. Just got a new 2.1.0 installation for a client and it looks great. I read that it is meant to be responsive. When I logged in using Firefox on my Android phone it looked nice but was not 'responding'. I had to scroll long distances across to view the fields ...

Re: Ability to unsubscribe after having added a note
Thanks for the tip, Atrol. I'll take a look. Actually I only let my clients use Severity or Priority if they can show me an agreed, documented and universally known definition of each level. Mostly I hide the controls for them. The only one in use is for severity in maintenance requests 'no effect n...

Data lost & have to retype after omitting compulsory field
If we submit an issue but forget a compulsory field we have to retype everything. Is there a way to get Mantis to recall this data? Our users have come to expect on-line forms to be more forgiving.

Re: Ability to unsubscribe after having added a note
Thanks, Atrol
Would it do me any good to request it as a feature in the issue tracker?
I can only see this type of request increasing as people outside the software industry discover the joys of using an issue tracker and want different configuration.

Ability to unsubscribe after having added a note
When there is an event in an issue, our Mantis is set to send notification emails to users who have added a note. We need this for most of our workflows. But some users who have added notes to some bugs are no longer interested in the bugs and find the emails annoying. Is there a way that these user...

Ah! Thanks for explaining. That is annoying and pointless. Why would anyone want to do that?

Why was issue [mantisbt 0019437] deleted?
If this was because it was unacceptable for me to put my website URL there in response to a question, then: (1) Couldn't you just have put a comment asking me to remove it? AND (2) Where can I read the guidelines that spell out this rule AND (3) What is the acceptable way to get in contact with anot...

Thank you for your help, SL-Gundam. I'm going to be absent from this issue for a little while, but I need to resolve it and I'll pick it up again soon.

getting started
I have Mantis 1.2.15 I studied the documentation and read forum articles and I saw the warning that 0.9.0-DEV is not intended for production I went to the GitHub link for 0.9.0 (corresponding to my version of Mantis) and downloaded and installed the only version I could find. It turned out to be 0.9...

Hiding elements of the Filters panel
There are some elements of the Filters panel that we don't use. How could I hide them? I can't find Configuration options for this. I am happy to just comment them out if I can find them. What files should I look in? Examples: Platform, OS, OS Version, Profiles, Priority, Tags, Sticky Issues -- We r...

Thanks Atrol. That shouldn't be too hard. Just a little extra task to do after each update. Cheers and thanks for your willingness to respond to us and help us.
