Summary0024440: Email Notifications
Description

Mail can't send to the registration user after made the registration form, putting additional comment.. and pushed the submitted bottom.
Mail software are using Outlook and Gmail,
Main setting parameters to enable the mail notification of "config_defaults_inc.php" and system environment are below;

$g_enable_email_notification = ON;
$g_return_path_email = '1900taro.urashima@gmail.com';

・Windows Server 2016
・IIS 10
・PHP ver.7.2.5 x64 edtion
・MantisBT ver.2.14.0
・SQL Server 2016 Express Advanced SP1
・SQL Server Management Studio 17.4

Questions are;

1.
As for "$g_return_path_email" statement in "config_defaults_inc.php",
I'd like to handle mutt-users each updating registration,. and the setting of notification mail of all
transactions(new, fix, complete..) have enabled on the account setting
So how parameter needs to set in it?

2,
Is it necessary to set related to SMTP settings($g_smtp_host, $g_smtp_username....) something?
If so, what parameter needs to set into these statements and take next action?

3.
Attachment is "config_defaults_inc.php" I am applying
Is there any advise elsewhere?

Kind regards,
Ryu

/**
 * Master salt value used for cryptographic hashing throughout MantisBT. This
 * value must be kept secret at all costs. You must generate a unique and
 * random salt value for each installation of MantisBT you control. The
 * minimum length of this string must be at least 16 characters.
 *
 * The value you select for this salt should be a long string generated using
 * a secure random number generator. An example for Linux systems is:
 *    cat /dev/urandom | head -c 64 | base64
 * Note that the number of bits of entropy per byte of output from /dev/urandom
 * is not 8. If you're particularly paranoid and don't mind waiting a long
 * time, you could use /dev/random to get much closer to 8 bits of entropy per
 * byte. Moving the mouse (if possible) while generating entropy via
 * /dev/random will greatly improve the speed at which /dev/random produces
 * entropy.
 *
 * WARNING: This configuration option has a profound impact on the security of
 * your MantisBT installation. Failure to set this configuration option
 * correctly could lead to your MantisBT installation being compromised. Ensure
 * that this value remains secret. Treat it with the same security that you'd
 * treat the password to your MantisDB database.

 * This setting is blank by default. MantisBT will not operate in this state.
 * Hence you are forced to change the value of this configuration option.

 * 'sponsor': sponsorship has changed on this bug

Ryu,

Just on hint at this place

Attachment is "config_defaults_inc.php" I am applying
You must not change "config_defaults_inc.php". All configuration has to be done in config_inc.php.

This is not a bug or feature request for MantisBT (you are asking for help on how to configure the system). I am therefore resolving this issue as "no change required".

Please use the forums to get support on customizing and using MantisBT (refer to http://www.mantisbt.org/support.php for links and further details).
