|Summary||0010434: allow localized decimal seperator|
The current implementation of custom fields does not allow different decimal separators for floating point numbers. In Germany and other European countries, the decimal separator is a comma (,).
Mantis should take that into account and replace ',' with '.' before validating and saving values. That's at least the easiest way I can currently think of.

I agree with your feature request. If you are able provide a patch, please do so based on our git master branch.
Sorry, but I don't have the time to dive into the deeps of the Mantis source code right now.
+1 for considering localized formats, which may be based of language settings (as a sensible default)
