Hello,
I want to configure LDAP authentication.
I don't want to put an AD password in plain text in the config_inc.php file. Is it possible to crypt it ?
I have an other question : why should I prefer Linux to Windows to install Mantis ?
Are the configuration files the same on the 2 OS ?

You can try to write also to the help mailing list http://www.mantisbt.org/mailinglists.php
Re: LDAP Authentication
I never used MantisBT with LDAP, so I can't really help.
For future usage of the forum: Please don't mix different questions in one post. It's hard to follow up and reading "LDAP" in the title does not match the whole topic.
Where do you want to store the key to decrypt the password?airka wrote: I don't want to put an AD password in plain text in the config_inc.php file. Is it possible to crypt it ?
Maybe better quality because Linux/Apache/MySQL/MantisBT is a combination which is used by more users than Windows/Apache(or IIS)/MySQL(or SQL-Server)airka wrote: I have an other question : why should I prefer Linux to Windows to install Mantis ?

So I don't have other possibility, the password must be in plain text ?atrol wrote:Where do you want to store the key to decrypt the password?airka wrote: I don't want to put an AD password in plain text in the config_inc.php file. Is it possible to crypt it ?
Re: LDAP Authentication
I think so, but as I said, I am no specialist for LDAP.airka wrote: So I don't have other possibility, the password must be in plain text ?
