IE7 and Manits

Post by mmatte »

Has anyone found any problems running Mantis 1.0.1 with Internet Explorer 7?

Yes. There is a problem with dynamic filter selection using IE7. When running IE7, you can select one dynamic filter attribute, but if you try to select 2 or more, they hang on "Loading...".

I have opened an Issue and posted a fix for this in Issue # 0007557 in the Mantis bugtracker project site.

We encountered additionally a couple of java script problems that make IE7 unusable with Mantis 1.1.0a2:
- Project switch doesn't work
- Ordering by column in the View Issues screen doesn't work

Hey guys, I am using Internet Explorer v.7, and it works good with me, and I didn't find a problem refers to Internet Explorer v.7.

I have tested "project switch" it works, also About ordering by columns in the viewing issues tables, it works.

Please nhpvti, if you mean a certain something during these two points, re-post in details.

I've investigated the problem and dicovered that some cookies are blocked by IE7 in my case
  • - set_project.php ...
  • - view_all_set.php ... (twice)
Now I've added our Mantis server URL to the list of "Trusted Sites" and it works. I was misled by the fact that it worked in IE6 earlier and not after update to IE7.

But if I think about external users (e.g. customers), I'm not sure that such a dependence on cookies is a good idea.
