File Upload Error: SYSTEM WARNING: ftp_put ()

Hi,
after changing the file upload metthod from DATABASE to FTP and editing the required settings for FTP Upload and absolute path, I get an error after uploading the file on page bug_file_add.php:
SYSTEM WARNING: ftp_put () [function.ftp-put]: /homepages/37/d11122245/htdocs/filestorage/f3cef359d6188f9c6a422a40445a1cdb: No such file or directory

Checking the FTP file "f3cef359d6188f9c6a422a40445a1cdb" exists in the directory "filestorage", checking mantis bugreport, file also exists and is viewable.
What can cause this error and how can I avoid this?
