Icons for custom fields

Hi all,

I created a custom field (effort) in my mantis (1.2.15) installation.
I now want to display an icon for that column in the view issues page. Is there a way that I can do this without changing any source code?

I attached a screenshot of how it should look like.

please find attached a patch to get it running in Mantis 1.2.17.

It seems there is another way to get what you want without changing existing code of MantisBT.
