Auto assign/inform a few people of issue creation

Hi,

I use Mantis 1.2.2. I turned on auto assign function based on categories. This function allows to assign only one person to a category (what is reasonable). Is there any possibility to assign (or at least inform) a few people about new issue e.g. Mantis auto-assigns one person to an issue based on category but I would like to be informed about this new issue as a system administrator. Maybe it is possible to auto-assign my user as a monitoring person?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Radoslaw

Use Manage -> Manage Configuration -> E-mail Notifications
enable checkbox in row "Status changes to 'new'" column "administrator" to get mail for new issues

Thanks! This is a good hint. But when there are a few people as administrator - all of them will receive these emails. Is there any possibility to notify specific user about new issue (besides the person assigned to category)?

AFAIK there is no other way to get it than the way I told. If there is more than one administrator where not every administrator want's to get email, you can disable the email individually with "My Account" -> "Preferences" and disabling "E-mail on New"

The only way to ahieve soemting like that is to setup distribution lists for each scenaio and connect that email address to the various persons.
But that most likley will take it over the top for you

Hi there!

Excuse me for reviving an old topic but following this hint I have a problem.

I am using mantis 1.2.4 and I've assigned, using cathegories, a specific user to be automatically assigned to an issue.

Everything went great but I don't get the notification mail (not as a normal user not as administrator, even if I put the flag there).
I get mail without problems if I manually assign the issue again or close it.

What can I check?

As a first step I recommend to update to latest stable version (1.2.8 at the moment).

Are you and the specific user the same person?

Hello there!

I thought about upgrading but I've done a bit of customization and I'd be really sorry to lose it.
Anyway it looks like it's time to do it: I'll try if 1.2.8 works on a test machine and if so I'll be forced to update...

Thank for your help and excuse me for using badly the instruments you provide: lesson learned. :)

Btw Mantis is simply awesome.
