Unable to log in after first and re-installation of Mantis

Post by victorbug »

Hi,

I am unable to log in just after installing Mantis BT 2.2.1.

The error message I get is

"Your account may be disabled or blocked or the username/password you entered is incorrect."

The user name is root. The password is that I used at installation is the same one the I used when installing MariaDB. These credentials open up nicely in phpMyAdmin, from which I can actually see the bugtracker database and the tree structure detailing the parameters.

During installation, I was advised by the installer:

"Please add the following lines to '/var/www/html/mantisbt/config/config_inc.php' before continuing:

... "

which I did using the root account on my server (the root password for the server is not the same as my SQL root password in MariaDB).

My server is running Centos7 with MariaDB 10.1.22 and phpMyAdmin 4.6.6 freshly installed using yum. During installation, there were no red alerts.

I removed my mantisdb folder under /var/www/html and reinstalled, but the same problem recurs.

Will somebody please help me get started?

Thanks.
