Multiple LDAP servers

Post by modir »

According to the issue here https://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/view.php?id=9954 it should be possible to write an array of servers now with version 1.3. I didn't find anything about it in the documentation. Can somebody give me a working example how I would have to configure this?

The status of the mentioned issue is "new", which means that the feature is not implemented in any official Mantis release.

OK. Thanks. It is indeed confusing. Do you have some estimate when this will be in the code?

No.
There is no one assigned to the issue, which means that none of the core developers planned to start working on it.
I had a very short look at the attached patches.
They have been written for outdated versions that are no longer supported.
Furthermore they are questionable and have to be discussed/corrected before they could be added to standard Mantis.
A good point to start would be to send us a Pull Request on our Github repository https://github.com/mantisbt/mantisbt
It increases the chances of improvement eventually making it into MantisBT core. All contributions are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I am indeed interested in working on it. Your coding guidlines are only half useful for me. Should the future code have in general more object oriented code or not? (The gmane-link doesn't work anymore.)

It should.
Please write to the developer mailing list to discuss any implementation you might start https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/lis ... ntisbt-dev

I didn't get email.
Seems there is a major issue with GMANE.
I will contact the developer who is administring it.

As an alternative you might want to use GITTER although chat is not the best way for such kind of discussions https://gitter.im/mantisbt/mantisbt
