Push issue to Mantis

Hello Im a developer and I've been assigned to a project that uses Mantis, I need to push an issue into mantis for some testing, but I'm kinda new to php so my knowledge is limited at the moment (give it 2-3 days and I'll catch up with the project).
Still I found this post and I'd like to know if the script attached to it can be used to do it.
