Need help adding textarea option to custom fields

Hi

I have recently upgraded to v1.2.1

In the old version i had runing Iv added a textarea option when you create custom fields.
The fields where drawn with a switch function in core/custom_field_api.php.

Im trying to added this possibilty to the new version, but the switch function hvae been removed from the api file.

So if somebody could direct me to where they 'draw' the custom fields in the new version Id be really gratefull,, file and line number.

I just cant find it.
