Upgrade from 1.0.5 to 1.2.0

Post by carp3tshark »

We haven't much stayed up-to-date with releases and are looking forward to the features that 1.2.0 has to offer, especially the column customization. Any tips or pit falls in doing this large of an update?

Should we update from 1.0.5 -> 1.1 and then to 1.2?
Is there any pre-work or conversions on the data that we need to make in advance?
Should we export all the data and then re-import it into a fresh install of 1.2.0?

We have a lot of data and want this to go smoothly as we really cant afford any downtime. A fellow developer looked into upgrading and mentioned that he thought there was a major db encoding issue that might prevent the update from being possible (or at least easy).

Thanks in advance
