Managing project versions by developers

Hi,

My mantis bugtracker is being used by several 3rd parties who all log in on the same bugtracker.
With the different projects and user rights they can't see other's projects and bugs.
Since the project versions are a hell to manage i'm thinking about having the 3rd parties manage their own version in bugtracker.
I'm a bit reluctant to add "manager" rights to the developers to be able to manage versions( I don't want them to see the accounts of other people).
1) (ideal sollution) Is there any way to give a developer the right to manage the versions and only the versions.
2) is there any way to give a developer the right to manage versions without having to make him a "manager"

Very good idea! I've to set $g_manage_project_threshold = REPORTER in my config so everyone can add a new version to the project.
That downside where they will see all the accounts in the project isn't a issue to me, because we're a small company and they can't remove or add users anyway.
My opinion is to add a button "Add version" on the report issue page near the version list and a "Add version permission" on the manage config page, so we can choose who will be able to do this.
Once this button is clicked, a popup could appear to enter the version and then the list would be refreshed to show the new version.
Another issue is to be possible to deactivate a bunch of old versions more easily.

Let's figure out the best solution and request the change on the bugtracker.
