Can't add 'due date' to issue

Hello,
in Manage > Manage Configuration > Manage Columns I have in 'All Available Columns' and 'View Issues Columns' item 'due_date'.
In 'View issues' table I see a column 'Due date'. It's okay. Problem is that I can't manage this value. In reporting an issue or editing the existing oneI have no field to edit 'due date' value.
How/where to edit due date field?
