Auto Fill for manage custom field

Hi,
Sorry, i want your help because i use Mantis 2.2.x and i create a new fields for my projects.
My problem is that i want to create "a link" between 2 fields, to explain : when i choose a value of one field , the second field will be auto fill with the good (right) value.

I want to know the main or the code of function or plugin to do.

i use Mantis 2.2.x

There is no 2.2.x, do you mean 1.2.x?
