AAUTHENTICATION: SAML 2.0 & Shibolet 1.3

Hi,
I successfuly implement simpleSAMLphp (1.7) into mantisbt (1.3.0), and use it few days.
May I found on same place information about authentication algoritham for mantisbt ? I am not sure that i fix all place to work corectly
Code is nice documented, but it isnt always obvius that something need to be done.
Second when is planed to be implement authentication plug-in system ? that will help a lot for implementation of other authentication systems.
Also username field isnt long enought for outside authentication (username have more then uid <uid>@<realm>.<tld>) is it possible that change will be implement in main distribution something like 64 char ?

P.S.: Just notice using simpleSAMLphp give you posibility to authenticate against google, facebook, openID and so on.
