HelpDesk system to connect MantisBT to..

Hello. I'm currently assigned to create/manage small HelpDesk in software company and I expect quite few percentage of calls to be also bug-related. As they are alreadu using MantisBT - do you have any recommendations of free (and very simple) helpdesk systems that could be easily plugged/assosiated to MantisBT? (it's mostly about bug association and maybe some notification if status of related bug has changed).

(I know that it's not exactly on MantisBT topic, but maybe someone already opened that door).

Yep, that is exactly what we do.
We use it primarily as helpdesk system ever since 2004!!
