A way to set additional priority / order ?

Post by MercJones »

Hi there.

I know there is a priority setting at the moment, but what i'm looking for is some way to assign an order to which bugs should be done first.

I want to keep the current priority setting but have this as an addition, the reason being, there can be 10 jobs that are all high, i would like to be able to assign a number, say 1-20 with 1 being the highest so that i can set that for all jobs.

I tried adding a custom field, with type being list, with 1|2|3|4 and so on.

The problem with this was, I could only assign this priority when clicking Edit on a bug, rather than on the view page (as admin), and then even when I did, it didn't show the actual order. The view page just shows @mycustomname@ and each bug entry also shows @mycustomname@.

Any ideas, plugins or suggestions?

Thanks

I would love to see an answer to this too. This is exactly the question I was going to post. I really hope someone has a way to accomplish this task. Alternatively, I would love to be able to have the parent/child relationship show indented in the View Issues page.

Thanks for any information!

I am not able to reproduce the issue.
Which version of MantisBT do you use?
Are you able to reproduce the issue using Mantis2Go? (see my signature for it)
Please use Search before posting and read the Manual

I'm using this version;

MantisBT Version 1.2.10

I can't use that out the box mantis (mantis2go) as its for windows, and I only have Ubuntu Clients I'm afraid.

Any ideas please

Ok, so my question is: Are you ale to reproduce the issue starting with a new vanilla installation of MantisBT (no custum functions, no plugins installed, no change of any file that comes with MantisBT)
If so, provide step by step instructions what you did.
