Fix committed in SVN trunk, r5750.

PHP's online manual shows a method for PCRE matching using named patterns, but fails to mention that the method they show is only compatible with PHP 5.2.2+ which uses PCRE 7.0+.

The fix was to use a different method of matching named patterns that is supported in older versions of PCRE.

The fix has also been applied to this tracker.
