Description

For reporter, with the 1.1.0 Mantis release, it is not anymore possible to set the priority.

I agree about the fact that reporter does not have to set the priority but, for compatibility and personal reasons, administrator could allow reporter to set the priority. The only way to do that (according to the PHP code) is to set bug_handle_threshold to REPORTER that is not a good idea.

Maybe, it is time to add a bug_set_priority_threshold in the config file...

I'm a bit confused by anymore in:

was this ever available? I don't think so because I can find more or less the same request in 0008482, 0006962, 0005566, 0003859

Hmmmm, I still run 1.1.0 (slightly modified but unchanged regarding "priority") and I CAN set priority when entering an issue as reporter...

Should this bug and all you mentioned be marked as duplicates of 3859? (the oldest of them)
To do this will be useful to have one point of discusison instead of multiple points without relation.

Ok. I just checked the code and the set priority link is definitely NOT visible in the bug_report page unless the reporter is above handle_bug_threshold for the given project.

Adding a separate threshold looks like a good idea.

@deboutv: are you willing to provide a patch for this?

This issue is not reproducible with the current version of MantisBT.

We recommend that you upgrade to the latest stable version [1]; if after doing so the problem persists, do not hesitate to reopen the issue, with additional relevant information.
