Summary | 0017909: Invalid character causes 404 page
Description | Script returns 404 error when submitting with a certain character.
Steps To Reproduce | Took me a while to figure out what was triggering the problem, however when trying to login or change password that contained the character that is produced when using "shift + tilde(~)". Can't use it here as afraid it is for all submissions. It is kind of like a backwards apostrophe. It causes a 404 error and breaks the script from continuing. Almost gave up on the script till I tried without using that symbol and it worked fine.

Are you referring to this character '`' ? If so, I'm unable to reproduce the issue. |
|
yes that is the character. I got it to reproduce when logging in with the password 7U2384ksd` and when trying to change the password to that. I was having that issue over and over after new installation in firefox, windows 7 on a php cpanel server. If you can't reproduce it might be a fluke with all the variables in my setup. I didn't want it to go un-noticed if it was an actual problem. |

I tried again to reproduce the issue using the provided password as well as some variants of it, but I'm still not getting any error, so I assume the problem is caused by your setup. Feel free to reopen the issue with additional details if you can demonstrate that Mantis is causing the issue. |
