Summary | 0017714: Unable to batch update Category
Description | From view_all_bug_page.php, I set the filters to show all issues in a particular category, regardless of status, etc. (I end up with about 280 issues.) Then I click "select all" at the bottom, which selects everything. Then I choose "Update Category" from the drop-down and hit "OK". I expected to be taken to a screen where I can choose a new category for all of those issues. Instead, I'm taken back to the bug list screen.

I am not able to reproduce the issue. I am quite sure that you just missed to enable the check boxes for the issues you want to change. |

He did mention 'Then I click "select all" at the bottom, which selects everything. ' That being said, I'm also not able to reproduce. |

If the javascript files don't load properly, the Select All check box won't work. If that's what your problem is, you would see an error on the Javascript console of your browser. When this happened to me, it was because I didn't have an Alias definition for the /javascript directory of the mantis virtualhost in the Apache config, so the global alias (for Debian system-wide javascript files) took over and masked the Mantis one. It started working after I uncommented this Alias definition and reloaded Apache: |
