I already reported that it would be nice to have a date-stamp with the version. But just tonight I started changing the way i enter version # to include in the version field itself a list of bugs that were fixed and lead to the version upgrade.
for example, instead of entering
'1.0.1b'
I enter:
'1.0.1b bgs 25,26,27,28'
but this field has a small size, it's working for now.
a memo field that i can type notes about this version release would be great though (I didn't want to add fields to the table myself, upgrade nightmare flashback)
