Summary0010947: Entries in RSS feed show theusername@example.com
Description

I love the RSS feed!

I noticed the attribution of each post correctly shows the username from Mantis, but shows an email address concatenated from the username and the default domain name.

Would it be possible to show the actual email address from the user's profile?

I just noticed the same, but I think the first step should be, that no Email address is shown. (Because at the moment only administrators are able to see this information)

Second step maybe should be, that users can configure in "My account" page, whether they want to publish their adress or not.
This could be combined with a global option, where the administrator allows it or not.

This was an attempt to provide information about the author (user name which is visible in MantisBT) without disclosing the email address, specially given that the RSS feeds are available publicly.

Should we just drop the concept of the author? I can't remember of the top of my head if this is an optional field in the RSS schema or not.

I had a look at the RSS 2.0 specification
<author> is an optional sub-element of <item>

Maybe dropping the author is better than the confusing example.com
and leeds that people reading RSS where clicking on a link, although issue was not submitted by the CEO ...
