I'm thinking perhaps there might be latency issues with your server, either between the filesystem or the database. As you can see here, we have over ten thousand issues reported, and it stays very quick, and we only have it running on a virtual private server with 1GB available memory. I would double check with whoever is hosting your server to check that a) has a fast enough connection to the database and filesystem, b) is not "swapping" memory a lot, and c) is not hosting too many other projects. Those three factors can all contribute to a slow server; if your server uses NFS to retrieve the files that it's hosting, that can add a very large dela in rendering time.

Hi, Jreese, thank your answer.... ^_^
our physical server:
(1) windows 2003 server (2) 2G memory (3). I create XAMPP to setup Mantis
(4). The Server only run Mantis system

Client IE -> Connect server => local IP connect

So I don't know what's problem...
But I found : if update issue is : only write some words, it's about 5-7 sec, but if I update issue : change "custom defined field" item -> press update , it will have more time (about 15 sec)

Could you help to check it ?? Thank you...^_^

I want to use the mantis bugtracking to try your update issue time, but I cannot see update issue button....so...

As a test, turn off email notifications. If the performance improves, the problem lies in your mail server. There is a provision to queue the emails and process them in the background.

Hi, Thraxisp:
Yes, I turn off email notifications, the performance improve....
New issue and update issue only 1-2 sec, it's very good...
But we must have mail server to notified related member ~~
I cannot manage mail server, so how to talk to MIS member about mail server?
But I guess: maybe Mantis send mail to many people at one time ,so
performance slow down.....maybe I can setup something (ex: modify mail
    content..) at mantis system...
    How about it?
Any thank you veru much for your help...

I actually can't, mainly becasue I don't use Windows. Since it does not look like a bug in our code, I suggest you bring this to the proper channel for support questions:

Thank you.

Thank for your help...
Now I manually set email_send_using_cronjob = ON in work Time every day
Then again email_send_using_cronjob = OFF in every morning, that will send mail~
(I will try to find how to set schedule..)
If I find, I will talk you again.

Again thank you very much....
